The following Privacy Policy describes how By Intent LLC (“By Intent,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from Users (“Students”, “Visitors”) of By Intent on Teachable. This privacy policy applies to By Intent and all content, courses and services offered by us on Teachable.

This Privacy Policy applies specifically to how we collect and use information in connection with:

  • our website, including, without limitation, by-intent.teachable.com and all courses available on the by-intent.teachable.com school (the “Course Website”)

This privacy policy applies to visitors to the Course Website, who view only publicly-available content (“Visitors”) and users who register for a course with us by purchasing a course or occasional guests who may be given discounted or free access to our courses (“Students”) through our Course Website.

By visiting our Website, all Users (including Visitors, Subscribers and Customers) are agreeing to this Privacy Policy including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local and international laws.

How is data collected?

When you purchase and/or register for an online course and/or any product or service offered on the Course Website – we request details in addition to your name and email address, explained further below in this Privacy Policy.

Where is data collected?

If you have purchased an online program on the Course Website, your information will reside on the learning platform’s (Teachable) database. Third-parties we work with (like Teachable) have their own databases and systems for collecting data and may store information we have shared with them on other databases. For example, Teachable utilizes third-parties such as Stripe and PayPal to process payments.

Please note that when you purchase and/or register for an online course and/or any product or service offered on the Course Website – you will automatically be subscribed to By Intent. This means you will receive our monthly newsletter and other ad hoc marketing or other communications. You may unsubscribe and opt-out of these communications at any time. What data is collected and why?

Personal Information and Contact Information

We may collect information such as your full name, address, e-mail address, social media information, phone number and similar when you create an account on Teachable in order to access our online course/s. We collect this data to provide a product or service you purchased and for marketing purposes too. We also use this information to understand our Users and potential customers and to make enhancements to our websites, products, services and customer service accordingly.

User Account Information

You will also create a username/sign-in name and password to gain access to the online course/s. Your username is associated to your name and account. To understand more about creating an account on Teachable, please refer to the Teachable Privacy Policy.

Order Information

When you purchase a product or service from us, you must provide us with certain information about the products and services you want to purchase. This information is used to provide you with the appropriate service or product.

Billing Information

When you purchase a product or service, you will be required to provide certain billing information which may include a debit card number, credit card number, expiration date, billing address, activation codes, paypal username and similar information. Billing information for online courses we provide, are hosted on third-party service provider’s platforms and processed by these platform providers and their service providers. In this case, the platform is Teachable and their service provider is Stripe and/or Paypal. We do not directly obtain or process any Billing Information, this is done by the Teachable platform and their service providers.

Other Information

In addition to the information noted above, we may collect additional information as follows:

a. General Information

Additional information that you voluntarily provide to us (via a survey, polls or similar) such as gender, age, preferred brands, product and service preferences, and other information that does not identify you personally.

b. Online Activity

When you visit our Course Website, we may automatically collect some information about your computer or device, including and without limitation: the type of browser software you use, the operating system you are using, hardware information possibly including certain unique identifiers, carrier and country location, referring websites, and your Internet Protocol ("IP") address. IP addresses will sometimes point to a specific identifiable computer or device, date and time, amount of time spent on particular pages and what sections of the Course Website you visit, and similar data.

We use information collected as described in this Privacy Policy to provide our products/services; to maintain and improve our Course Website; to obtain your feedback; and to inform you about our products and services and those of our third-party marketing partners and in the general interests of the effective management of By Intent and all its operations and activities. In order to do so, we do contract with other companies to perform certain business-related services for us. We may disclose your information, including personal information in some cases, to certain types of third-party companies, but only to the extent needed to enable them to provide such services, including, without limitation, technical assistance, order fulfillment, customer service, marketing services, payment processing, survey collection and business operations. By Intent and our third-party service providers may analyze information collected in aggregate form in order to operate, maintain, manage, and improve the Course Website and/or our products and services. We may also disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe our products and services to appropriate parties.

Users cannot opt out of receiving transactional e-mails related to their account or their purchases. Additionally please be aware that it is not always possible to completely remove or modify information in our subscription databases.

The Course Website and associated courses may contain links to third-party websites. We have no control over the privacy practices or the content of any of our business partners, advertisers, sponsors, or other websites to which we provide links. As such, we are not responsible or liable for any content or the privacy policies of those third-party websites. Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 through the Course Website. If you are under 13, please do not give us any personal information.
